About the tour
The Vietnam Creative Tour is designed to meet the learning outcomes of the IB CAS Diploma Programme. Located in the historic Ancient town of Hoi An, a World UNESCO Heritage Site known for its blend of Japanese merchant houses, Chinese temples and European architecture, this tour provides a unique atmosphere in an award-winning city. Surrounded by the lush rice fields and set against a backdrop of mountains, Hoi An is a perfect destination for artisan and creative minds and a great place for students to immerse themselves in all things creative. The tour provides photography classes led by professionals, covering the basics to the more technically advanced. The workshops are designed to match the students' ability, and focus on both the technical and conceptual approach to photography and the practical application in a variety of locations, from landscapes, to wet markets to ancient ruins. Students will also participate in photoshop editing classes to finalise their chosen prints for feedback and presentation at the end of the trip.
Additional creative workshops include mask painting, lantern design, fine art classes and theatrical performances illustrating Hoi An's history and Vietnamese culture.
